What is Systems of Care?

System of care is a "comprehensive spectrum of mental health and other support services which are organized into a coordinated network to meet the multiple and changing needs of children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and their families" Wraparound services are just one aspect of a system of care.

System of care involves the cooperation of everyone who has a role in serving a child with emotional and/or behavioral disorders, including family members, educators, mental health workers, social services, health services, the juvenile justice system, and community and recreational agencies
